Holtek has announced the release of the BC7601/BC7602 low-power Bluetooth transparent transmission control ICs for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) applications. They are suitable for use in health care products, home appliances, beacons, and other smart device information inquiries.

The BC7601/BC7602 integrates high-performance RF and modem, with built-in DC/DC converter and linear regulator that supports a wide range of single power supply. The receiver (RX) supports programmable gain exceeding 75dB and sensitivity up to -90dBm. It also has a low-power transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) that offer excellent low-power modes such as sleep mode and power-down mode. The BC7602 also has built-in patch memory to reduce development workload and lower system costs.

The BC7601 is available in a 32-pin QFN (4mmx4mm) package and the BC7602 is available in a 46-pin QFN (6.5mmx4.5mm) package, making them ideal for small BLE applications. The chips can be conveniently used for BLE transparent transmission work through a serial peripheral interface (SPI) or a universal asynchronous receiver-transmitter (UART), making them the best option for low-power Bluetooth transparent transmission control ICs currently available.
